@stehoare Wirtz is not a CM though. He will be used as a 10 much closer to Isak based on pre season. Endo out of favour so that leaves only 3 CMs with any real degree of experience.

[🟢] INFO: James McConnell’s loan move to Preston has been kiboshed – for now at least – by Liverpool in the last days despite regular game-time being promised.

He was told by Iraola he is part of his plans after impressing in training and there will be minutes for him in the first team this year.

McConnell also had a meeting with Richard Hughes, who stressed there is no official pecking order in the midfield so both Nyoni and McConnell can push for minutes. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🔴
