Let's be really clear here, Belgium are not fussed about the player himself - they are fussed about the corruption and precedent set. They are willing to take a stand for the integrity of the sport, and that should be respected.
FIFA and the US should not get away with this.
ITV panel on Folarin Balogun having his ban suspended:
Roy Keane: ‘It seems unfair, because it is unfair. It’s a pals act.’
Gary Neville: ‘It absolutely stinks. But are we surprised with this lot?’
Ian Wright: ‘Some things that have happened at this World Cup are shameful.’
So, the White House made a direct call to FIFA to ask Gianni Infantino to review Folarin Balogun’s red card, and they suspended the one-game ban straight after.
The US should have never hosted the World Cup.
if one more person says that in 1976 they didn’t close the schools and just got on with the heat I will SCREAM. 3000 people DIED you muppets and it STILL wasn’t as hot as now!!!! Fuck off!!
10 years ago my wife, the mum of our kids & the MP for Batley&Spen was killed by a far right extremist.
At anniversaries I try to be optimistic about the future. But not this time. In the ten years since she was killed we have gone backwards & I fear our democracy is now at risk
Big up Ian Wright, Gary Neville, and Roy Keane for calling out what the US is doing to the World Cup. They didn’t shy away and condemned it all, including the decision to ban Omar Artan.
Officials have always had freedom of movement, and FIFA guaranteed it.
Angela Rayner was dragged through every front page for weeks...
HMRC's verdict: NOT deliberate. NOT even careless.
Farage pockets £5 million and chooses not to declare it
So where's the wall-to-wall coverage?
Tell me this isn't a rigged game.
Richard Gere: “The entire planet has fallen off a cliff into the stupid zone. Do you really think these refugees and immigrants are different than us? Do you really believe these clowns like Trump, Orban, Netanyahu, Putin? You really believe what these guys say?”
