An EU flag was raised outside the Fingal Civic Offices in Swords today, as part of a ceremony marking Ireland's EU presidency.
Meanwhile, for the past 2 years the Irish people have been lectured by these same bureaucrats for daring to raise their own national flag.
Housing files sit unanswered inside those offices and Irish families have nowhere to go and the priorities are out the window!
We only have to remember that our own Taoiseach wants "nothing to do with the backward looking idea of sovereignty".
Fennell despised what, for want of a better term, might be called the abnormalization of Ireland - the absurd insistence of Irish writers and cultural commentators, that a large majority of Irish people did not live normal suburban lives, just like folk elsewhere in the west.
Why is that homosexuals have such a central role in English conservative circles?
And those homosexuals generally have a pathological obsession with Ireland?
"Nationalism is about hate"
That "hatred" is territorial thinking. It's an evolutionary, necessary legacy. Our beliefs aren't rooted in hatred, but love for our own. At this point our people and way of life are under threat. Nationalism is self-defense.
“Dynamic and innovative” code words for buck broken mass immigration propping up an ageing boomer class who have drained almost every resource and left nothing for the next generations.
"Shit fucking Irish"
Not only was it a heinous crime against our youth, it was a crime of hatred against the Irish.
This is a man who was here for 25 years, an Irish citizen. Integration & assimilation have failed. Aisimirce anois.
There is also the related phenomenon of smaller countries like Ireland finding their "diplomatic identity" through international institutions such as the EU and UN.
Without membership in these international institutions the opportunities for career advancement afforded to the domestic political establishment would stop at home. Membership of these institutions and the plethora of think tanks and academic departments orbiting them created an incentive to climb further within the international government structure.
There would be no Brigid Laffan or John O Brennan otherwise. Varadkar would be a doctor in Dublin, not teaching at the Kennedy School. We wouldn't be subjected to the pompous ceremonies and banal speeches that lack substance or individual insight.
You can see this Presidency episode as an audition by the domestic political establishment for career advancement. The waste of public resources and repetition of the Atlanticist rhetoric is a demonstration of loyalty to that entity. For that reason they are highly likely to advance the Commission's agenda.
The way that Irish leftists like this frame any opposition to immigration in Ireland as west Brit-ism is such a bizarre subversion of history. Historically, the British have been the ones obsessed with integrating foreign cultures and peoples into some version of their identity, while Irish nationalists by contrast were inward looking. Mass third world immigration to the UK began with workers arriving from British colonies in the Carribean and later from other nations throughout the commonwealth in the postwar years, and ever since then has been justified to the British people on the grounds that it was a consequence of their imperialism. At the same time this process was starting, the Irish Free State declared itself a republic in 1949, separating itself from british globalism.
As late as the mid 90s, Ireland was an entirely homogeneous country while Britain was already decades down the path of multiculturalism. The true way for Ireland to assert our distinctiveness from Britain would have been to preserve our ethnic homogeneity. Instead we’ve followed Britain down this road and now we have ethnic minorities in Ireland who feel more in tune with their cousins over in Britain than they do with their Irish neighbours (hence we’re starting to see Afro-British slang snake its way into Irish youth lexicon through the “black Irish”), while in the north of Ireland immigration has provided the British government with a new voting block which which to undermine Irish nationalists.
Muslims don't belong in Ireland.
Neither do Protestant rats who literally burned this cathedral 500 years ago destroying any ancient remnants of our national Saints.
Protestants and Muslims are two sides of the same coin.
The truth is that the government's answer to increasing supply of housing is back garden sheds and compact growth smaller sized apartment complexes on already over burdened infrastructure. What available data shows us is that the type of housing being built affects birthrates. Clearly, if we keep building 1 and 2 bed apartments and back garden sheds people will not have large families. This isn't a guess, data shows that the more genuine houses available the higher the birthrates. We need more 3 and 4 bedroom houses, not more worker cell apartments.
Changing the demographic trajectory of Ireland won't be easy, but it's far from impossible if we understand how to really target the roots and stop just cutting branches.
Bizarre how the left and liberals consider everyone to be unemployed if they don't like their views.
Cause all unemployed and employed hold the same views depending on their employment status.
Also if you hate the unemployed so much why do you support importing the work shy?
At heart, the new "vibrant and colourful" Ireland is just a landing strip for multinational corporations and rent-seekers, both native and foreign. Young people have no spending power and as such are provided nothing from the new order which only values economic and social status.
The decline in nightlife has been very noticeable if you have had the experience of going out before a decade ago or earlier. Pubs used to be wedged, live bands, etc. but the economic transformation means young people have fewer opportunities to socialise. Soaring insurance and other costs means running a pub is much harder.
This is the real reason that people aren't having children as well. They are locked out financially as wealth has accumulated to the older generations who benefitted from liberalisation. LGBT provides an outlet for others to revel in the sterility of the new culture but even that is looking pretty played out at this point.
it’s funny how to believe anything right/far right you have to be “groomed” into it according to people
are you not groomed into believing any number of harmful ideas prevalent today by people with far more influence and resources ?
