Repeated violations of animal protection laws to attract MCOCA

The State Govt on Friday cleared the decks for imposition of provisions of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), 1999, against repeat offenders who break the animal protection laws again and again.

In the MSG College sexual harassment case, the Court of Hon'ble J.M.F.C Shri Krishna Latke today sent the accused Asst Prof Wajid Ali to magisterial custody. Ali was produced before the court after his two days' police custody ended today, Asst PP Abhinav Palawe said.
