Yesterday, I was at Jantar Mantar to file a report for my company.

A feminist protest was going on, with girls raising catchy slogans. The protest had girls from various groups, including the Left and NSUI.

The most promising slogan was: “Sharam nahi hai mardo mein, aurat kyun hai pardo mein?”

I found a girl from SFI and asked her, “Do you think the slogan ‘Sharam nahi hai mardo mein, aurat kyun hai pardo mein?’ is right?”

Leftist girl: Of course! Why should women remain in purdah because of men?

Me: Are you sure?

Leftist: Yes! No doubt!

I then turned to a hijabi girl nearby and asked her, “Why are you wearing a hijab? Is it because of your religion, or are you being forced by your family?”

Hijabi girl: It’s my choice!

I asked the Leftist girl, “What do you say to this?”

Leftist girl: It’s her choice. She can wear anything, whether it’s a hijab or a burqa. Who are you to decide? You shouldn’t interfere in her religious beliefs.

That’s when I understood their hypocrisy and left the protest.

That money comes back only through tolls, over the 27 years Adani holds the right to collect them. Keeping the road in working order through those years is also Adani's job under its agreement with the state. It is absurd to believe that a highway operator would cut corners here and then spend the next 27 years paying to patch its own road. Adani is invested in high quality construction and operation.

As far as minor repair works are concerned, that is part and parcel of every infra project around the world.

PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government had fallen by one single vote.
Your mother Sonia Gandhi and Ahmad Patel had then worked the numbers.
IK Gujral, whose party Akali Dal at that time was in the NDA, had voted against PM Vajpayee.
National Conference party MP Saifuddin Soz, was made to swear on the Quran by Ahmad Patel and voted against the Vajpayee government, even though Farooque Abdullah's NCP was in the NDA.

But the real vote chori had happened when Odisha CM Giridhar Gamang had flown in as an MP even though he had taken oath as the CM in february and cast the vote that helped topple Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.

One man had wept at that time. A righteous, deshbhakt, and honest man. And his tears were seen by Narendra Damodardas Modi.

He has never forgotten that scene. And he will never rest till he avenges those tears.
