@CateSJewels @Jenny_English13 @ThadiganArtemis @ko_oneill @doioweyoumoney my point is there was other jobs that could be worked during the pandemic, that’s why a lot of people from the restaurant industry changed careers or learned a new trade. So they could work and do so safely. Therefore there would not be a year gap in a resume!

I just was thinking about how I had coworkers that called me during the pandemic begging / hurting to work bc they couldn’t receive help. During march 2020 there was delivery/takeout!

@J4CKYL3GS @Dragon_Katia @doioweyoumoney I just was voicing another opinion about why the employer might have asked, that’s all. Everyone is so quick to judge. I worked through the pandemic as a restaurant worker, this shit was so hard, constant changes and mandates! Next time, I won’t say anything! Not worth it.

I was just trying to convey from a dif POV tht employee would prioritize someone who worked through the pandemic bc the things the NYC restaurant went through over someone that didn’t.
