AI agents settled $73M across 176M transactions last year. Card rails couldn't handle 76% of them. 4 companies are racing to own the payment stack for machines. 2 are already winning. 🧵

My take: build in the governance layer. Google and Visa don't own it. Liability gets encoded here. Agent identity gets solved here. Whoever cracks this won't just capture compliance - They'll become the SSL certificate authority for the machine economy.
