@britters__smith A lot of them ARE heroes. You can’t say that all, if even one, of the ornaments on that tree are of officers who have killed a black person. I agree that there hasn’t been enough change but I think your mindset of cops vs black people is part of our problem
@britters__smith Judge all black people just by some of their decisions. I can see how the numbers are different, but I don’t see how that makes anybody’s lives less important or valuable
@britters__smith So bc they CHOSE to serve & protect their community that means it’s ok? Bc SOME officers made terrible choices that means the rest don’t deserve to be honored? No, I fully support law enforcement. That doesn’t mean I support the “bad” ones or those decisions, just like I don’t
@britters__smith Why does it turn into a race thing when fallen officers are recognized?? I understand there are officers who abuse their power & authority, but that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t honor the rest of them who sacrificed their lives, just like we wouldn’t expect the friends,
Corporate: “here is your 401K plan options”
Me: “ok I gotta show these to my dad so he can tell me what to do”
Corporate: “what?”
Me: “ Uhm I just gotta run these by my dad because I don’t know what I’m doing as an adult yet”
I am not built to be in the real world.
