I'm officially writing a book about an open source content management system called Wagtail (@WagtailCMS) with @ManningBooks π Due in November 2022.
Wagtail Space is on 24th & 25th March, with talks, training, & optional sprint on the 26th.
As always, we want this to be an inclusive experience, for developers, designers, writers, testers, & anyone curious about Wagtail!

ππ§ Episode #44 of the Real Python Podcast is live: βCreating an Interactive Online Python Conference for PyCascades 2021β with @ashiazed, @nnja, @roadside_seb#python#podcast https://t.co/rXTBTc6Xn5
β¨We really wanted to have a way for folks to be a part of "hallway track" discussions (but in virtual form) in addition to the amazing talks every year so we've got some live panels with Core Devs, Podcasters, Book Authors, LED Art project demos & more. Also Q&A's. Join us β¨
@dabeaz@KatiMichel@judy2k@DjangoConEurope I almost blacked out in a class presentation once, but now I feel great in front of a small group. I assume some of the stage fright goes away eventually in front of a large crowd too? Probably takes a while π
@judy2k Watching your talk at @DjangoConEurope on "How to Get on This Stage"π, I had the same idea of learning how to write better proposals: volunteer as a talk reviewer. I learnt so much reading so many proposals, it was very valuable. Still haven't given a talk though π
@judy2k@DjangoConEurope I do have a talk topic though πI've been thinking about it for a long long long time, just need to make that first step in doing something about it.
@judy2k@DjangoConEurope Step 1: Stop volunteering in the program committee at my favourite conferences so I can actually submit a talk to them π€£ That's the thing with getting involved with conferences, you have such an amazing time that you don't want to stop.
web development in Canada isn't too much different from the US
we just use "visibleEh" instead of "isVisible" and instead of state it's province management
Kiddo kept responding "ok" to all the text messages I sent. I asked him if he was a robot. This is his response:
"Times have changed mother. You must adopt to the new styles." π€£
@hjwp@treyhunner @wsv3000 @carltongibson That's a good start, call it what you want, https://t.co/2werbsRyvM https://t.co/TccQqhXrI5 https://t.co/jAlZnM2KeJ, but when you have a series of things that need to happen before/after Django does it's thing - it's good to have code in a place you can call from anywhere.
