I've realized that many people who come across the Shayy situation either don't know them, or do not know the extent of their actions. Some who have seen it have still yet to grasp the severity
I made a document compiling every post and video I know https://t.co/MwjPtHLvrW
never trust someone who denies sexual assault under the grounds of wanting to make someone feel better
never trust someone who believes that their power doesnt affect the way people feel around them
never trust someone who has the power to bend the truth through omission
i better not see a single fucking person trying to let them weasel their way back. they do not deserve any form of acknowledgement or time of day or anything. they do not deserve a single god damn thing. do not let their lying ass get out of anything.
They are a horrible piece of shit for this actually. this is directly flying in the face of the creators they actively praised and supported and is incredibly disrespectful.
I hope they burn in the deepest pits of hell.
I hope this gives us a chance to band together once again. We are not the ones to accept vile sex pests. We do not defend streamers from their own crimes. Let the hate this massive shit gobbler receive be exemplary
btw since this stuff was almost a year ago if anyone needs a refresher on what actually happened and the scope of the incident itself heres a compilation doc someone made over on bluesky that consolidates everything into one place (link in replies)
I genuinely do not care about what they had to say, after the way they treated both myself and my friends I do not want to see Shayy or anyone who sympathizes with them anywhere near this community
One thought, and I will not talk about it anymore because it's infuriating - youtube pays you per thousand views, and it doesn't care whether those viewers like you or not. A comment saying "Don't come back" is like putting money in someone's pocket. Just stay away.
TW: Sexual assault
I will be linking websites below to sexual assault hotlines, donation links, and 24/7 hotlines.
That being said, I cannot sit here with a platform and remain silent. Given everything in the news this past week, I feel a responsibility to speak up. Sexual assault is something 1 in 3 women WORLDWIDE experience in some form. While I am fortunate not to have experienced it myself, I have close friends who have.
To anyone who has survived sexual violence in any form: you are so strong, and I am endlessly proud of your resilience. Please know you are seen, supported, and never alone. I stand with all of you.
I’ve linked resources, donation links, and hotlines below.
seeing people discuss the merch rules finally is so funny because we have had these exact rules for 10 years. it feels like people just had it completely memorywiped when its Always Been There
@mws this is genuinely terrible as a viewer. I would cease watching edited content altogether because this means I literally cannot share anything with my friends and can't watch videos until after the ab period because they could just get an inexplicably different stuff.
@ostonox this sounds fucking agonizing. I already hate sharing a video with my partner and they get a completely different worse or unfunny thumbnail forcing me to screenshot what I got. and then not even being guaranteed to get that same thumbnail myself.
