while

being apparently inviting and uncritical to the equivalent dynamics on his own side

the question is not
- can you find a single center right trump critic
- was biden criticized for my pet policy issue

my point just doesn't rely on the answer to those questions in any way

if the options are

- never criticize my side, be a good little party member

or

- openly criticize my side and campaign for alternatives, acquiesce if that fails

the latter is, objectively, doing more to oppose.
