@mishragautam @IndianTechGuide Smartphones are always “assembled”- that’s what ‘making a smartphone’ is called. It’s not a monolithic product that comes straight out of factory. As long as component manufacturing is concerned- it will take some time, but will get there. India is taking steps in that direction.

@Visvanathann @RShivshankar 1. Is governor doing anything unconstitutional- No, there is no provision in constitution which allows largest party to form govt, it’s very clear that it needs to be majority.
2. Is it illegal- probably, given that in absence of statutory provision, SC ruling is defacto law.

@AadiAchint These days anyone can get blue tick. The ministers (including cm) holds their office during pleasure of Governor. Technically, the Governor can even dismiss sitting cm with majority, although any mala fide action will be reversed by Court. But here, she has no option as she lost.

@arunpudur Having said that- the skills of Indian engineers of this project should definitely be commended. They deserve their credit - design is not an easy job- especially with high end technology like this. And this will sure have positive outcomes in coming days for India.

@arunpudur Two things-
1. It’s design and not manufacturing. Also, the IP is Qualcomm’s, so they’ll have the patent rights even if the engineers who designed it are Indian.
2. The issue with sub 7nm tech is mainly manufacturing.. only TSMC has mastered it (even Qualcomm will use TSMC fab).

@AadiAchint Sir, in India, we have a habit to teach others how to do their jobs, but can’t get our own mess fixed. A tea seller will tell you how a PM should run the country, how Kohli should bat, how India should project its power etc. but can’t make his own goddam tea good!

@Trendulkar These companies think for 10-20 years of market ahead, and growing world , like India is huge market. In business, you don’t want to shut your growing cust base. When Pubg was banned in India, they created bgmi. Insta created reels after tiktok ban. There’s always alternative.

@Trendulkar These products thrive on Population, not the price. Even a common middle class man in India can afford costliest apple and google products (with some emi probably). USA alone doesn’t have the market, such population, and manufacturing there is costly.

@OsintTV 3. Trump is using this as negotiation tactics till the deal is signed. I am confident India will sign the deal on its own terms, and Trump will show it as they got better deal. But in any case, all these bickering will go away soon, and Trump will say Indians are great people!

@OsintTV 2. And that is India’s biggest asset right now. China doesn’t provide the market as they have home-grown alternatives which they prefer. So, only countries where there market can grow is India. They won’t dare block this in India- infact India can use this as leverage!
