@DarioAmodei It is a great step. But how will third party evaluator’s ensure the outcome humans are looking for: which is safety first. If there is less understanding of the frontier by your expert team itself, how come third party evaluator’s understand it better?.
A healthier choice should be the easier one.
When idli replaces vada pav and chaas replaces cola in a school canteen,it may appear to be a small change. But It is a shift in the food environment in which children form habits.

Absolutely insane stat: 15 U.S. colleges now cost more than $100,000 per year.
That’s $400,000+ for a four-year degree.
Students are not getting anywhere near $400,000 worth of value from these schools.
Higher education is the most overpriced product in America.
For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

At the AI impact summit our message is clear: we believe India is going to have an extraordinary trajectory with AI, and we want to be a partner.
To help, we have launched new America-India Connect subsea cable routes building on our $15B investment in India’s infrastructure, including a full-stack AI Hub in Vizag. We're also rolling out a new AI Certificate, a @GoogleDeepMind partnership to unlock discoveries in science & education, live speech-to-speech translation for 70+ languages and more.
In a powerful blend of history and modern technology, India’s Chandrayaan-2 orbiter has captured stunning high-resolution images of the Apollo 11 and Apollo 12 landing sites, offering fresh visual proof of humanity’s first steps on the Moon.
The photos show the exact spots where astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and later Pete Conrad and Alan Bean left their footprints, planted flags, and deployed scientific instruments over half a century ago. Now, from a new perspective high above the lunar surface, Chandrayaan-2 has confirmed those locations with crystal clarity, marking a moment of global pride for space enthusiasts everywhere.
This isn’t just about validating history—it’s about how far we’ve come. A country that watched the Moon landings on black-and-white TVs is now photographing the same scenes with its own spacecraft. It’s a poetic milestone for a rising space power, reminding the world that the Moon still holds meaning, mystery, and shared legacy.
India’s achievement not only reinforces its space capabilities—it also bridges generations.
From Apollo to Chandrayaan, the Moon still reflects our story.
People ask me all the time about compelling use cases of AI. Here’s a good one.
Millions of dogs go missing in the U.S. every year—and options for finding them are often painfully limited. Our Ring team saw an opportunity to use our community and technology to help, so they built Search Party.
When a pet owner posts about a lost dog in the Ring app, nearby participating outdoor Ring cameras in the neighborhood begin looking for potential matches. If yours spots what might be the missing dog, it lets you know. You see the photo alongside footage from your camera, then can choose to share the video with the pet’s owner.
The AI is trained on tens of thousands of dog videos so it can recognize different breeds, sizes, fur patterns, body features, unique marks, shape, and color. And privacy stays in your control—you decide each time whether to help.
The impact is energizing. Search Party has helped bring home 99 dogs in just 90 days—more than a dog a day since launching three months ago.
Ring customer Kylee was blown away by Search Party after her dog Nyx was found by a neighbor’s camera just 15 minutes after slipping through a tiny hole he’d dug under her backyard fence.
When a Ring customer and military veteran named Kurt realized his service dog was missing after jumping his fence, he worried he might have lost her for good. He quickly initiated a Search Party in the Ring app asking neighbors to help locate her. Later that day, he got the notification he was hoping for…Lainey was found.
Chris, a Ring camera owner, helped reunite another lost dog with its family after getting an app alert that said, “Your camera may have spotted a missing dog,” flagging footage he wouldn't have otherwise noticed.
And the list of stories like these keeps growing.
Now we’ve expanded this feature so that anyone in the U.S. can start a Search Party through the Ring app, even without a Ring camera (lost pets are one of the most common posts in the Ring Neighbors app—over 1M last year alone).
With roughly 90 million dogs in the U.S., think this is gonna matter for a lot of families. Good example of real-world impact, and proud of what the Ring team has built here. https://t.co/Pr3jzP4o4o
Excited to be at one of our Amazon Now micro-fulfilment centers in Haryana, India, where everything from daily essentials to groceries get picked, packed and delivered to a customer’s doorstep within 10 minutes. The team walked me through the many innovations on the floor to meet this promise. They’ve been super impressive, fast and thoughtful. I even placed an order by dropping a pin code to test and there it was - in my hand in just 4 minutes. It was great to see how the team stays focused on safety and associate welfare while delivering ultrafast. The well-designed rest areas and refreshments we provide them were also great to experience first-hand. We're moving fast and delivering for customers in ways we’ve never experienced before while taking care of each other every step of the way.

India's entrepreneurial energy continues to inspire.
Excited to share we plan to invest an additional $35 billion in India through 2030 to help small and medium-sized businesses grow and thrive (announced at our sixth Amazon Smbhav Summit).
This will bring AI benefits to 15 million businesses and 4 million students, quadruple “Made in India” exports to $80 billion, and support 3.8 million jobs by 2030.
SMBs are driving India’s efforts to go digital, contributing to growing exports of local goods, and are creating lots of good jobs.
Looking forward to empowering more SMBs to build new businesses and fuel innovation across India. https://t.co/LG0ag8nAVD
Today, Peter Desantis and David Brown gave us an up close look into the engineering that powers our services at @awscloud. Here’s my summary of the morning keynote on day four. #AWSreInvent
Scale your AI without scaling costs.
Amazon S3 Vectors is now generally available, powering billion-scale vector operations with improved performance at up to 90% lower cost. Build AI applications from prototype to production with confidence.
Really enjoyed Matt’s keynote at #AWSreInvent today. So much innovation happening in @awscloud, and you could see it with the array of launches he unveiled.
So many parts of the keynote worth watching, but will point to a few:
1/ Excited about the availability of Trainium3. Trainium2 has substantial traction, is a multi-billion-dollar revenue run rate business, has 1M+ chips in production, and 100K+ companies using it as the majority of Bedrock usage today. Trainium2 has price-performance advantages over other GPU options that are compelling, and Trainium3 will deliver at least 4.4x more compute performance, 4x greater energy efficiency, and almost 4x more memory bandwidth than Trainium2: https://t.co/B6QwUZSJYv
2/ Worth double clicking on AgentCore, which has changed the security and scalability of deploying agents into production. AgentCore is a set of flexible building blocks that can be used in any combination developers want, and AWS added two more in Policy and Evaluations. AgentCore has a lot of momentum: https://t.co/rj1l71ZCU3
3/ Nova Forge is a game-changer for companies wanting to customize a frontier model with their own proprietary data. Like equipping a young person with a better knowledge foundation to keep learning, LLMs are better able to solve problems and improve if they’re trained early on with companies’ differentiated data. To do so, companies need earlier versions of the frontier model and ability to mix their own data with the model’s data. This is what Forge provides and this “open training” allows companies to develop Novellas that are their own, optimized versions of Nova they can use for their AI apps and agents. Customers have been itching for this sort of capability, and Forge is a uniquely compelling approach: https://t.co/JVonb18QcA
4/ Agents will become the primary way companies get value from AI. We have built some compelling agents for our customers in Kiro (for coding), Quick (for knowledge workers to leverage their own data, analytics, and routines), Transform (to migrate from one software source to another), and Connect (call center agents). But there are tasks customers want agents to solve more autonomously and over longer durations, and new AWS frontier agents—Kiro autonomous agent, AWS DevOps Agent, and AWS Security Agent—are exciting: https://t.co/YtMvneJryV
5/ Finally, I enjoyed Matt’s ending 25 launches in 10 mins, both because it was action-packed and represented so much useful delivery. The reason so many people cheered these launches is because even though they’re less sexy, they’re the meat and potatoes core infrastructure needs customers have—and with so much of the total cloud infrastructure running on top of AWS, these launches will make a lot of people’s lives easier and better every day: https://t.co/CdzzzFA1o0
Enjoy (and just day 1 of announcements today for AWS :-)!
AWS's Matt Garman on $NVDA GPUs: "AWS is by far the best place to run NVIDIA GPUs." Big claim.
"Now, when you think about AI infrastructure, one of the first things that comes to mind is GPUs, and AWS is by far the best place to run NVIDIA GPUs. We were actually the first offer in NVIDIA GPUs in the cloud, and we've been collaborating together with NVIDIA for over 15 years. And what that means is that we've learned operate GPUs at scale. In fact, if you talk to anyone who's run large GPU clusters than any other provider, they'll tell you that AWS is by far the most stable at running a GPU cluster. We're much better at avoiding node failures and definitely deliver the best reliability. And the reason for that is because we sweat the details, minor things like debugging BIOS to prevent GPU reboots."
"Nothing is too small for us to be focused on—those details really matter, and it's why we lead the industry in GPU reliability."
"This year, we launched our P6 generation of EC2 instances featuring the NVIDIA Blackwell processor, the P6 EC2 B 200 Ultra Server, which provides over 20x the compute compared to our previous P5n generation. These are ideal for customers that are working with really large AI models out there, and we're doing that again."
"I'm excited to announce the new P6E GB 300—these are powered by Nvidia's latest GB 300 NVL 72 systems."
"Our full stack approach to hardware and software plus operational rigor delivers you the absolute best performance and reliability for the biggest organizations in the world. This includes Nvidia themselves, by the way, who run their large scale Jn AI cluster project CIEBA on AWS and many others like open AI, who are actively running on AWS today, they're using clusters of EC2 Ultra servers with hundreds of 1000s of chips today, GB 200s and GB 300s, and they have the ability to scale to more than 10s of millions of CPUs to manage their agent tech workflows. All of this is to support their ChatGPT application.."
NVIDIA and @awscloud are deepening our full-stack partnership with new technology integrations spanning cloud infrastructure, interconnect technology, open models, and physical AI.
