Most ACs were never really built for Indian homes!
This Indian startup is changing that by building a new AC from scratch- with deep R&D, smarter engineering, and a strong focus on cost efficiency.
From design to manufacturing, Helium is solving some of the biggest problems in the AC industry and building cooling solutions made for Indian homes.
Only 8% of Indian households have ACs in their homes!
The biggest reason? Affordability. Now, this Indian startup is solving this with Helium Air, built for Indian homes.
You can track your live electricity bill on your device and even detect AC issues through their app.
A smarter, more affordable cooling solution for India.
This Indian startup is building next-gen ACs for India!
Meet Ashish Sharma, Co-Founder of Helium, an IIT Kanpur alumnus, who is building smart cooling solutions designed for Indian homes.
Amid rising heatwaves, AC adoption in India is still far lower than many developed countries across the world.
For most Indian families, owning an AC is still a luxury because of high electricity bills and affordability.
Helium’s mission is to democratize access to cooling for India.

With rising temperatures & heatwaves ACs in Indian homes are no longer a luxury.
They are becoming a necessity.
Global AC adoption:
Japan: 91%
US: 90%
China: 80%
India: 8%
That means India has massive headroom for growth.
But the problem is: most ACs were never truly built for Indian homes, Indian weather, and Indian affordability.
Now, an Indian startup is building affordable, smart cooling solutions designed for India.
Something big and new drops soon.
Stay tuned.
@Fintech00 In most of the rooms where we actually live, 1.5 ton AC is not needed, unless you want to sleep in blankets.
A rightly sized AC of 0.75/0.8/1 ton with low fan speed does the job equally well - job of giving comfortable air conditioned indoors. And saves so much money!!!
