राज्याचे मुख्यमंत्री मा. श्री. देवेंद्रजी फडणवीस यांना पत्र देऊन पुणे महापालिकेतील राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसच्या नगरसेवकांना निधी व योग्य प्रतिनिधित्व मिळण्याबाबत निर्माण झालेल्या परिस्थितीकडे तातडीने लक्ष देण्याची विनंती केली आहे.

महायुतीतील घटक पक्ष म्हणून आम्ही नेहमीच सहकार्याची भूमिका घेतली आहे. मात्र, राजकीय मतभेदांचा परिणाम नगरसेवकांच्या कामावर आणि नागरिकांच्या विकासावर होऊ नये, ही माझी स्पष्ट भूमिका आहे.

पुणे महापालिकेतील राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसच्या नगरसेवकांना त्यांच्या प्रभागातील विकासकामांसाठी समान आणि न्याय्य संधी मिळावी, तसेच विविध समित्यांमध्ये योग्य प्रतिनिधित्व मिळावे, हीच आमची अपेक्षा आहे.

पुण्याचा विकास हा पक्षीय राजकारणापेक्षा मोठा आहे. त्यामुळे या विषयावर सकारात्मक हस्तक्षेप होऊन योग्य तो निर्णय घेतला जाईल, असा मला विश्वास आहे.

Fed up with the daily mess, she questioned the lack of traffic control and poor planning at one of the city's busiest junctions.

गेल्या अनेक वर्षांपासून वडगावशेरी मतदारसंघात ‘आखाड महोत्सव’ साजरा केला जातो. मतदारसंघातील नागरीक, पदाधिकारी, कार्यकर्ते, मित्र आप्तेंष्ट यांच्यासाठी हा महत्त्वाचा कार्यक्रम असतो. दरवर्षी हजारो जण या जेवणाचा आनंदाने आणि हक्काने आस्वाद घेत असतात. यंदाही पूर्वनियोजनाप्रमाणे आज (शुक्रवार) ‘आखाड महोत्सवा’चं आयोजन करण्यात आलं होतं. परंतु गेली दोन दिवस शहरात पावसामुळं पूरग्रस्त परिस्थिती निर्माण होऊन या संकटाला अनेकांना सामोरं जावं लागलं.

माझ्या वडगावशेरी मतदारसंघातही शांतीनगर, आशानगर, भारतनगर, यंशवतनगर, कलवड वस्ती, साईनाथनगर या भागातील अनेक कुटुंबांना या पूरपरिस्थितीचा सामना करावा लागला. काल कार्यकर्ते, पदाधिकारी आणि प्रशासनाच्या मदतीने या सर्वांना सर्वतोपरी मदत करण्याचा आम्ही कसोशिने प्रयत्न केला. आजही परिस्थिती शंभर टकके पूर्वपदावर आली नसल्याने अशा परिस्थितीत ‘आखाड महोत्सव’ साजरा करणं योग्य वाटलं नाही. कारण ज्यांच्यावर पूरस्थिती ओढवली ती सर्व माणसं नेहमीच माझ्या सुख-दुःखात सहभागी झालेली आहेत. माझ्याच कुटुंबाचा ती एक भाग आहेत. त्यामुळं ते अडचणीत असताना ‘आखाड महोत्सव’ साजरा करणं शक्यच नव्हतं.. परंतु या कार्यक्रमाची सर्व तयारी आधीच झालेली असल्याने हा कार्यक्रम औपचारीपणे साजरा न करता या पूरग्रस्तांना जेवण देण्याचा निर्णय आम्ही सर्वानुमते घेतला आणि कार्यकर्ते व मित्रपरिवारानेही ही कल्पना उचलून धरली. त्यानुसार जेवण तयार करुन आणि त्याचे पॅकेट तयार करुन वेगवेगळ्या शाळांमध्ये आणि इतर ठिकाणी असलेल्या सुमारे ३ हजारहून अधिक पूरग्रस्तांपर्यंत आम्ही सर्वांनी मिळून हे पॅकेट पोचवले. आज अडचणीत असलेल्या आणि नेहमीच माझ्या पाठीशी असलेल्या माझ्या जनतेची या माध्यमातून मला सेवा करता आली, याचं मनापासून समाधान आहे…

पोरवाल रोड(धानोरी) ची अवस्था. आगत्य/तोरणा हॉटेल समोरील रस्ता. एवढे मोठ्ठे खड्डे झालेत की दुचाकी वरून जाताना गाडीचा तोल जातो. अपघाताची दाट शक्यता आहे. लवकरात लवकर दुरुस्ती करावी. (पावसाळ्यापूर्वी होईल अशी अपेक्षा)
