The greatest sources of our suffering are the lies we tell ourselves"
Elvin Semrad.
As humans we're experts of wishful thinking and obscuring the truth.
@zxreya One sec has helped me be mindful. Wouldn't necessarily say productive.
Having a social life outside the digital world, having hobbies and just being out in the real world has done more for my productivity than any app.
The issue with productivity apps:
They're providing a solution to a problem the same tech industry created and feeds off - hyper engagement.
Why would any tech business stakeholder promote any form of usage reduction?
I'm all for deadlines.
But within that deadline do not skimp out on the hours spent. If the problem, you are trying to solve is really important and you aren't giving it the hours needed, your goals and efforts are not aligned.
I'm starting to understand that if you are measuring 'time spent' you cannot build anything substantial and deep. The value is short lived.
Everything of value takes countless hours. Can't just jump from task to task and expect to deliver value that is bulletproof.
@hyderabadipotti None of that is the end goal for any aspiration/task. These are just tools to help manage, cannot skip the grind lol.
You can do all that and remain frustrated if nothing has moved with the things that matter - your relationships, your work etc.
Suppose you have cancer and you have to choose between a black box AI surgeon that cannot explain how it works but has a 90% cure rate and a human surgeon with an 80% cure rate. Do you want the AI surgeon to be illegal?

Berkeley researchers found that a total of 1.3 million creditworthy Black/Latino mortgage applicants between 2008-2015 were rejected because of their race. When using ONLY their income and credits score, their applications went through.

To everything structured there is something unstructured that speaks to your heart more than anything.
Relationships and most of your most memorable times belong to such unstructured times. But holding something with structure towards your goals just elevates these memories.
I've learnt why building leverage is important - There will always be more to do than that can be done.
If you've not got leverage yet, start building momentum.
On the whole it's a all an outcome of consistently prioritising and relentlessly executing.
We can jump and land with feet like a duck. Yes this works!
But, quickly over time with repetition, added load and fatigue this becomes a liability.
We're functioning but at a risk.
We've confused functionality and physiology.
Just coz we can function, that does not mean the underlying physiology is working fine. The body has this ability to adapt and function, but this is not sustainable and bulletproof to injury.

current conventional movement systems:
- we're reactive in nature and address things only after pain is felt. Pain and the other symptoms of injury are lagging indicators.
- we're wired to mask pain. When you jam your finger, you vigorously move it to mask pain.
My struggles were not struggles at all, they were opportunities.
Confidence distortion field - believing in yourself more than you reasonably should.
