1) The #SpendingReview has left us bitterly disappointed for people with a #LearningDisability and their families and carers.

They will continue to be left without support at a time when they need it the most.

They are already at breaking point.

Can I say thank you very much to group 1a for facilitating excellently! #otshu group 1b next. Thank to all for contributing :-)

[ashlee coles @AshleeColes]

@DonnaMars87 @shuTAPtalk @nicolafOT #otshu agree Donna. SU should be completely involved in creating groups

[ashlee coles @AshleeColes]

@ConnieHurleyOT #otshu big but simple plan! Better transition from hospital to community, more recovery focused support at home

[ashlee coles @AshleeColes]

@DonnaMars87 defiantly and due to social care cuts people with MH are not being prioritised only higher moderate for many councils

[ashlee coles @AshleeColes]

@shuTAPtalk #otshu some, a SU liked rap music so we made collages etc of this and supported him to write his own music and record this

[ashlee coles @AshleeColes]

@HeleneP_OT @DonnaMars87 #otshu it would be great, how often does this happen in practice?

[ashlee coles @AshleeColes]

@shuTAPtalk #otshu due to the services restrictions (security and sections) often patients were restricted to do things they enjoy most

[ashlee coles @AshleeColes]

@HeleneP_OT @DonnaMars87 #otshu I agree but I feel this is often used as an excuse to reduce / stop services due to costs

[ashlee coles @AshleeColes]

@shuTAPtalk #otshu for people with MH problems it can support them to feel valued and motivate them if the activity is what they enjoy

[ashlee coles @AshleeColes]

@DonnaMars87 #otshu groups are great difficultly is that they often only run for a period of time do you think this is good for recovery?

[ashlee coles @AshleeColes]

@shuTAPtalk #otshu I thinkassessment to make activities meaningful for patients would suffer especially, which would disadvantage recovery

[TAPtalk @shuTAPtalk]

what would be missing if OTs ddn't work in this area? #otshu
