Frost? Yes, in the mountains overnight. A frost advisory is in effect from midnight-9 am Sunday in NE Georgia. Temperatures will fall into the mid 30s and frost may damage sensitive plants.
While fire and response crews from the state, local, and federal levels all remain in the fight in South Georgia, conditions have become even more extreme. I’m urging everyone in the affected areas to be extremely careful and heed law enforcement’s evacuation warnings.

Latest drought monitor is out and conditions continue to worsen due to the lack of steady rainfall. In order to get us out of the drought, we need at least 1.5 times the normal rainfall for a few months. That would equate to around 15-25" of rain over the next 3 months.
