Really proud of my friend and former colleague, @jameswellington, who got news he passed the Georgia Bar Exam this week, and who will be representing me in any minor conflicts with major corporations from this point forward.
During Older Americans Month, we will honor a Georgia centenarian! A lot can happen in 100 years, and we’re eager to share life stories and perspectives from some extraordinary people. #OAM19 Meet Clara Elizabeth Griffin of Tunnel Hill! https://t.co/hUx5g9acxm
Thank you @ChuckEfstration for your tireless efforts to get HB543 to the finish line. This was one of THE most important child wellbeing bills this year. BC of your & @bertreeves34 work, children in GA have greater opportunities for love, for stability and for long-term success.
Governor Brian Kemp signed HB 543, the Equitable Caregiver Law, this week to enable judges to place kids in loving homes. I have worked on this bill for 4 years & this is a big win for Georgia's children! Thank you @GovKemp & Speaker David Ralston for making this bill possible!

Kid reports learning in school that there are three branches of government: “The president’s house, the people who make the rules, and the judgy people.” Adds that we have separate branches so we’ll never have “one of those bossy people who tell you what to do.” Yes. 100%. USA.
Grateful for Leader Burns and House and Senate Leadership (and their staff—@caulderchilds) who worked with @GovKemp, @GADFCS and homeschool advocates to address this all-too-real issue affecting child safety this year.
Our responsibility now is to remember Emani, and to never forget how important a strong child protection system is to preserving our values and our identity as members of the human race. We must each recognize our own role in keeping that system strong. We owe it to Emani.
I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard Emani Moss’ name. I was the new communications director @GADHS, and hers was the second death in a matter of weeks where we’d had previous opportunities to intervene.

There are more people than Tiffany Moss in this world who wish to do others harm, and there will be others who will succeed at similar evil. It isn’t an easy subject to think about. But we must always remember. We must always be vigilant.
