Healthcare matters to everyone, but it matters in different ways when it's hard to reach. Today, National Rural Health Day, we celebrate 13 healthcare providers with Impact Awards for helping increase access to care in Utah's rural areas.
We'll start with Amy Jones, certified social worker (CSW) at Castleview Hospital in Price.
Amy handles cases of trauma, violence, substance use, isolation, depression, and death with great compassion in her role as a hospital social worker. She also finds time outside of work to help her community as a tireless volunteer. cc @etv10news

Anyone concerned about the #GreatSaltLake should be aware of this cautionary story. Having stood on the #AralSea's former banks in Moynaq myself, these powerful pictures only begin to convey the risks we face from inaction. #GSL@utleg https://t.co/srocf03uNg

Growing, learning and training together.
#TodayAtDHHS (and yesterday) we got our leadership team together to discuss how to better support our staff in the work of helping Utahns have fair and equitable opportunities to live safe and healthy lives.
"...never stop pursuing your #passion, even if it means having to work harder and accepting that “#success” is not linear." Proud of my talented wife! #Resilience and #creativity are keys to her #abstractpainting.🎨https://t.co/ChQpW7vYQ3
We were fortunate to have Tracy Gruber, @UtahDHHS Executive Director, kick off our 12th #RuralHospital Administrators' Summit last week. We appreciated her engaging these #ruralhealthcare leaders on their priorities and how DHHS can support them & their #communities.
All Utahns should have fair and equitable opportunities to be healthy and safe. Help Utah’s leaders as they consider choices that will impact quality of life for all: https://t.co/6TRCmZPdL3. #guidingourgrowth#healthequity#utah#utahlife@UtahDHHS
