@SamanthaLCoy A5: This is something I struggle with. Many students rush through work without checking themselves. In BAW we have created goals. Students have specific things they must go back and check. I would like to continue setting goals in all subject areas. #BESPLC

@SamanthaLCoy A4: This is something I feel strong in. Students have opportunities to share successes with their peers. If they create something special we build in time for them to share. I would like to improve on this academically. That students feel safe to ask for support. #BESPLC

@SamanthaLCoy A3: When I read this section it almost made me think of the choice boards. I like the idea of providing students choice academically in how they show what they learned. This also goes back to allowing input on rules, rewards and consequences. #BESPLC

@SamanthaLCoy A2: I liked the idea of restating what the student did.. I try my best at this, but many times I do say great job. Being specific adds more value to them & their work. When correcting behavior we can offer suggestions & have them think about what they should have done. #BESPLC

@cegielski_a Megan I agree with you. I think students need to not only have input in the rules, but also help decide what happens if these rules are broken. They need to take ownership in their choices and the consequences to their actions.

@SamanthaLCoy A1: I loved the quote, “motivate students to want to behave.” We want students to be role models for one another. For next year I think creating class rules, rewards and consequences that are, “logical in relation to the rule,” together will help students. #BESPLC

@SamanthaLCoy A5: My top goal is to truly be able to set time aside to model and teach these to my students. To make sure I have a deep understanding of each one so I can effectively model daily for my students. I love the idea of read alouds as well that some others have mentioned. #BESPLC

@CoachLRandolph I think it is a very good possiblity it is beginning to carry over with some students. I noticed seeing the awareness throughout the day in nonacademic settings such as recess and lunch as well. I love seeing the carry over with them.

@SamanthaLCoy A2: They are more attentive to one another and respectful when others are sharing. They will kindly correct one another to make sure everyone has their eyes on the speaker. More students are willing to share and love the feedback from their peers. #BESPLC

@aliciamstrick @SamanthaLCoy Alicia you definitely succeed at relationship skills, not just with your students, but your fellow teachers. You are easy to bounce ideas off of and your class is very welcoming. As far as balancing school and life I can relate as it is a challenge.

@SamanthaLCoy A1: I would say at school my strength is Relationship skills. I like to get to know my kids and how they learn best. What drives them to succeed. My weakness is Self-Management right now. I am a planner and organizer, so working from home has been a challenge. #BESPLC
