@BoogalooCasual Thanks for the reply. The media does have a tendency to represent race and other minoritized identities for their own gain while lacking accurate and meaningful content and portrayals. That's why it is important for educators to be critical in what and how books are used!

10/10 I ask that you consider signing the petition demanding justice for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery. If you are not familiar with his horrific murder, I recommend researching his death and then the murders of many other’s killed all because they were black.

Iowa schools are closed for the remainder of the year. I haven’t seen my students for 5+weeks. My heart breaks for myself, my students and their families. I may never see some of them again. We didn’t get to celebrate our time together, say goodbye, or have one last hug. 💔
