#ProjectHailMary was an amazing movie and @RyanGosling performance was outstanding! But…. That still doesn’t change that fact that he was an "absolute liability at the corner" in Remember the Titans. @newheightshow
@FluentInFinance I don’t think anybody is arguing that it’s not a bad deal if you stay on the 50yr term. But if you use it as an entry point to get into a house and refinance down the road, it could make sense for some young families which have affordability issues today. #options
@pulte@nejatian The median age of a first time home owner in the USA is 38yrs old. A 50yr mortgage would open home ownership as a possibility for many young family’s. I don’t think anyone is saying take 30yr mortgages away.. just more options.. sounds good!
@nejatian It makes sense. Most first time home owners today are already in their 30s or 40s. A 50yr mortgage opens up more opportunities for younger people in expensive areas of the country. Longer terms typically mean lower monthly payments and people can pay additional to the principal.
