It just so happens that @joshkeaton (and Bram) figure prominently in that #DOTADragonsBlood STUFF I promised you. Deleted scenes! Both of today’s are from “Lunartropism”. We’ll start with this alternate take on the trip from the Solar Throne to the Invoker’s Tower.
All the congratulations in the world to #DOTADragonsBlood’s own Selemene and (all grown up) Filomena… Alix Wilton Regan is the new Lara Croft! #doyouloveher?

THE COLD WAR HEATS UP: There's only one way to celebrate today's anniversary of STAR TREK VI. Relive the thrilla in Mutara as @steveasbell and @darendoc fought it out to determine if The Undiscovered Country is delightful or a dud. Only on @inglorioustrek. And 'dis combat was to the death.

@Mr_Landru@inglorioustrek@markaaltman@darendoc Although really you can’t just lay the look of TNG at Berman’s feet. Roddenberry owns the interstellar hotel lobby aesthetic of TNG, which got decidedly better as his influence waned. By the time you get to DS9, it’s quite different.
@Mr_Landru@inglorioustrek@markaaltman@darendoc For completeness sake, it wasn’t just the budget… it was the schedule. The shooting days per episode also came down from s1 to s3, in fairness to s3.
@Mr_Landru@inglorioustrek@markaaltman@darendoc I’d also argue that the production design is far superior on those shows, as are the costumes and makeup (once you get past the second season of TNG) and the sound design is no contest at all. Dollar for dollar, minute for minute? As productions I’ll give it to Berman every time
@Mr_Landru@inglorioustrek@markaaltman@darendoc Apples and oranges. Silver age Trek had 8 day shoots, 22 eps a year, were shot on film in 1.33:1 and edited in a far more time consuming work flow. Relatively speaking, the episodic budget was maybe 1/4 to 1/2 of the budgets for contemporary Trek. Those shows hold up VERY well.
THIS VOYAGE, don't miss a master class in directing for #StarTrek with ROB BOWMAN (#TNG), DAVID LIVINGSTON (#VOY, #ENT), PAUL LYNCH (#TNG), DAVID CARSON (#DS9, #Generations) & JORDAN CANNING (#SNW) in TAKING THE HELM: DIRECTING TREK. Only on @inglorioustrek. Available now wherever you listen to podcasts and on You Tube. Subscribe today.
