This Eid, in the midst of a difficult year, I am more grateful than ever for my loved ones (near and far), good food, and all the little joys in life (like mendhi!). Eid Mubarak from my family to yours ๐
Honored to share this reflection on my evolution as a clinician in @PalliativeMed_j. Special thank you to @colleenmfarrell for encouraging me to run with this one and @AshnaAsim for your time & edits! #hapc#medhumchat

This conference was one of the highlights of my time at QMed. So excited to attend virtually this year! (And word has it, the incredible Dr. Duffin herself will be in attendance!)
@ciaransualdam@sharanauth@MedHumChat Perhaps it is suggesting a dynamic process - the opening of a flower suggests that there is also closure - and then opening again. To me that is hopeful - that there is always room for expansion
@MedHumChat A5. Poetry feels important to me now more than ever in our current world. It is a means to come to terms with uncertainty, to bear witness to ourselves and the world around us, to challenge and ask difficult questions.... #MedHumChat
@MichaeliLaura@MedHumChat Interesting! I read this poem as her willingly speaking up. Whereas in the first poem the speaker appeared to doubt her narrative, the poppy is speaking because she is shattered - her experiences - good or bad - have only further emboldened her.
@MedHumChat A3. Colour stood out to me in this poem- the red poppy, the red heart, the fiery sun. Red and heat - passion. The poppy is bold enough to be open to both the beauty and tragedy of life. #MedHumChat
