No DNA evidence. Jury members, even the prosecutor circled back saying the verdict was a mistake. Nobody involved wanted this man to die. We have a soulless justice system in this country. This is why the term “black lives matter,” as simple as it sounds, is so audacious.
@paularowland121 says organizations are very good at reporting on critical incidents but less good at learning from them. Such useful research impacting leaders and policymakers. #ICRE2024 top research papers session. @ICREConf

From yesterday and today’s #ICRE2024 panel, professional resistance seems like one way to reform professionalism
But who should lead the resistance? Learners and patients might point the way, but accountability also lies with those with most power to role model resistance, too
Yes, there is learner agency in deciding what kind of doctor we are going to be.
But as @SarooSharda_MD importantly points out, the ways that professionalism manifest culturally and structurally have a lot of power in influencing the kind of doctor learners become too
This #ICRE2024 panel has me thinking:
What physicians are we able to become and be in the current version of professionalism?
How must we reimagine professionalism to educate and become the physicians that we ought to be?
Today, I finally got the visa I applied for nearly 3 years ago to attend a conference in North America.

The Ontario government is shutting the Science Centre today citing an engineer’s report – which does *not* say the place must close or that all work is urgent. What a betrayal.
