Ashley Hinson (R-Iowa), now running for Senate, declined to sign the discharge petition that would’ve forced a House vote on releasing the Epstein files.

Her excuse: Massie was “approaching this in the wrong way” and it “handed leverage to Democrats.”

Her refusal left the petition stuck one signature short — for two months — until newly-sworn-in Rep. Adelita Grijalva provided the 218th signature the moment she took her seat.

Only then did the vote happen. Only then did Hinson vote yes — once it no longer mattered.
