@narendramodi@dpradhanbjp Modiji's team, Who operate this handle... pls have a look at the comments and you will realize the negative comments against the edu minister. 5 years back there were hardly any negative comments. Something that you guys are doing is not right.
@sreejithunni@sardesairajdeep Governments need revenue. Nobody disputes that. But there comes a point when taxpayers stop feeling like stakeholders and start feeling like the government's favourite ATM.
@sreejithunni@sardesairajdeep Senior citizens pay tax on pensions, Railway concessions have disappeared. Reliefs shrink while the tax burden keeps growing.
Every election, govts across political spectrum announce ever larger freebies. It's not free. It's honest, tax-paying middle class that foots the bill
@sreejithunni@sardesairajdeep Ur arguing against a claim I never made. Never said Centre alone determines fuel prices. I said oil bonds don't justify today's pricing policy. In fact, u've conceded the core point urself: govt chose to keep prices high to raise revenue. That's exactly what this debate is about
@sreejithunni@sardesairajdeep As to your idiot PM comment - No serious person believes the economist PM was an idiot. But the current narrative often demands that everyone who governed before 2014 knew nothing, while all economic wisdom arrived thereafter. That's politics, not economics.
@sreejithunni@sardesairajdeep Unni... you need to realise that all this while ( before the iran crisis ) you were paying a bomb for the petrol even though the Brent was significantly low. Be wise, once in a while.
@raghav_chadha Raghav, Nehruji had a term of 6130 days as PM from 15Aug47 to 27May64. Yes Modiji's popularity is beyond question but claiming he is the longest serving PM is like usurping a crown on a technicality - that elections were held in 1950. Did India not have a PM between 47-50 ?
@timesofindia One can't seek the defense establishment's help for EVERYTHING. They have a specific purpose - ferrying question papers is NOT one of them.
@BJP4India Rajasthan sells petrol at ₹109. Last I checked it was ruled by the BJP. So when are you going to be pro-people in Rajasthan. Oh wait, election are in Nov 2028. So time to become pro-people is mid 2028.
