Prof. @ashpotdar, Faculty of Literature, Theatre and Performance Studies at FLAME University, was recently invited to the 10th edition of the Jabalpur Art Literature and Music Festival (JALAM), organized by the Ityadi Art Foundation.

During the event, Prof. Potdar conducted an intensive playwriting masterclass, exploring the structural depths and creative nuances of writing for the stage. He also delivered a talk on "Contemporary Society and Theatre," addressing the shifting paradigms of theatre research, pedagogy, and practice within the Indian context.

Prof. Ashutosh Potdar, Faculty of Literature, Theatre and Performance Studies at FLAME University, was invited to participate in 'Picnic with Playwrights,' a special panel at 'The Literature Live: Mumbai Lit Festival' held at Tata Gardens, National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai.

The session, curated by the Bhasha Centre and presented in collaboration with the NCPA, brought together leading voices from India and the USA, placing playwrights and the craft of playwriting at the heart of literary discourse.

Prof. Potdar was joined by Shikha Talsania, an acclaimed Indian stage and screen actor, and Vinita Sud Belani, actor and founder of EnActe Arts, California, for a conversation on stage writing, performance, and their journeys as storytellers. The session included readings from their works, offering the audience a window into their creative process. A live piano performance by music composer Kaizad Gherda further enriched the experience.

FLAME commends Prof. Potdar on this meaningful contribution to contemporary playwriting and literary conversations and celebrates his continued engagement with the arts on distinguished platforms.
