Each year, FDNY members, family and friends walk in the footsteps of Father Mychal Judge, honoring a man whose compassion, courage and devotion to others defined his life of service.

On September 11, 2001, Father Judge, an FDNY Chaplain and Franciscan Friar, rushed to the World Trade Center, where he prayed with the dying, comforted the injured and stood alongside New York's Bravest in their darkest hour.

He was the first identified victim of the attacks, known as Victim 0001.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to walk in his footsteps, remember his life and honor his legacy along with all those we lost that day and in the years since.

Meet Annabelle, who just a few weeks ago was in a Ridglan cage. She was one of the last dogs out—and would have ended up dead if the authorities had their way.

This week, we're back in WI for accountability for Annabelle, and for the thousands of other animals that remain trapped in labs and breeding facilities in this state. Ridglan was a major victory, but there are so many other animals—dogs, cats, primates, etc—that face imminent torture or death.

The state's attempt to prosecute us won't stop us. Because the law—and the public—are on our side. And our message is simple:
