FairPoint: Sarla Bhat's case rekindles hope for Kashmir's forgotten victims
· Thirty-six years is a long time -- long enough for hopes of justice to fade and tears of grief to dry. And when every door of justice and political will seemed firmly shut, one case has given an entire community reason to believe that justice, however delayed, may still be possible.

🚨 “I Lied On Video”: Pak Hockey Captain Admits Sydney Ordeal
Ammad Shakeel Butt has admitted he falsely claimed everything was “fine” during Pakistan’s recent Australia tour. He says he was pressured by team management to protect the country’s image
During the FIH Hockey Pro League leg in Sydney, players were reportedly left without hotel bookings due to unpaid bills by the Pakistan Hockey Federation. The team waited 12–15 hours with luggage, struggled for food, and later had to cook, clean and wash dishes themselves, even on matchdays. Pakistan lost all four matches
Butt says management repeatedly misled players about funds, while the Pakistan Sports Board claims money had been released
Dear Friends,
Two young Kashmiri twin sisters - ZEBA & ZAINAB from Anantnag in South Kashmir have gone viral with their short video that they made immediately after the Indian cricket team was declared victorious against the pathetic loser cricket team of Pakistan.
Please show your love to these cute angles from Kashmir and daughters of India.

Dear Friends,
Today on the auspicious day of Mahashivratri and a day after the Kashmiri Hindu community celebrated "Herath", I paid a visit to the sacred "Bhairva Cave" of MAHA ACHARYA ABHINAVAGUPTA, legendary 10th century Kashmiri Hindu sage & philosopher of India's Kashmir Valley.
Shri Maha Acharya AbhinavaGupta is one of the most iconic Kashmiri scholars, who is celebrated as the master exponent of Kashmiri Hindu Shaivism. His philosophical treatise "Tantraloka" ( illumination of Tantra ) & "Tantrasara" ( essence of Tantra ) considered as literary classics that explains in details, the philosophical aspects of KASHMIRI HINDU SHAIVISM derived from sophisticated science of Tantra & Yoga, which later on went on to influence Tibetan Buddhism too.
It is here at "Bhairva Cave" that Maha Acharya AbhinavaGupta attained his "Nirvana" along with 1200 of his Kashmiri followers in a cave located on a hill in Beerwah in Budgam district of central Kashmir Valley. It is said that he entered this cave along with 1200 of his Kashmiri followers and never came out.
In fact, the "Bhairva Cave" shrine would have actually been destroyed by local stone quarry mining mafia, who were illegally digging Bairam hillock, where the "Bhairva Cave" shrine is located.
It personally took me a lot of effort to lodge a complaint against this illegal quarrying and to sensitize the local community about the cultural significance of this cave shrine.
The local administration also played its role and immediately stopped illegal quarrying. The local administration went further and developed the basic infrastructure including construction of Kaccha pathway and Packka stairs from the base of the Bairam hill to the entrance of the "Bhairva Cave".
Abhinav Gupt", the Kashmiri:
The "Bhairva Cave" shrine as well as Maha Acharya AbhinavaGupta have largely remained anonymous amongst the Kashmiri Muslim community. Except for scholars of Shaivism, not much was known about this great Kashmiri philosopher.
A lot of young ethnic Kashur speaking Kashmiri Muslims of the present generation are often surprised to know that "Abhinav Gupt" can be the name of a Kashmiri person too. They are used to only hearing Muslim names as "Kashmiri" names having forgotten that all Kashmiris are not Muslims.
Since the forced exodus of Kashmiri Hindu Pandits in 1990, the younger generation of ethnic Kashur speaking Kashmiri Muslims have grown up in a "Hindu-less" Kashmir.
For this younger generation of Kashmiri Muslims,
Kashmiri = Kashmiri Muslim only.
They associate Kashmiri-ness only with the Muslim community and have no idea that Kashmiri identity also includes indigenous ethnic Kashur
speaking Kashmiri Hindus.
Many Kashmiri Muslim youngsters tell me that they thought that "AbhinavaGupta" is an "Indian" name and they don't know that "Abhinav Gupt" is an much a Kashmiri name as Wani, Lone, Zargar, Dar, Magrey, Andrabi etc. are.
Maha Acharya AbhinavaGupta was the most important proponent of Kashmiri Hindu Shaivism, who outlined in detail the philosophical contours of Kashmiri Shaivism based on deep, enigmatic & esoteric principles of Tantra & Yoga.
I hope that younger lot of ethnic Kashur speaking Kashmiri Muslims are sensitized about the glorious pre-Islamic Hindu and Buddhist past of Kashmir Valley and accept it as joint cultural heritage of ethnic Koshur speaking Kashmiri Hindu Pandits and Kashmiri Muslims.
HERATH POSHTE.
P.S. In the comment section of this tweet, I am posting videos / photo's of massive damage done to Bairam hill, where the "Bhairva Cave" shrine is located by the the illegal quarrying in last 3 decades since the rise of Pakistan backed separatist terrorism in Kashmir Valley that aimed to erase even last traces of Kashmir's pre-Islamic Hindu and Buddhist past.
