The IDSE fraternity proudly congratulates Shri Ajay Kumar Jain, IDSE (1987 Batch), on assuming the appointment of Director General (Personnel), HQ Military Engineer Services on 01 July 2026.

An alumnus of IIT Roorkee, Shri Jain brings over 37 years of distinguished service and extensive experience across command, staff and executive appointments. He has previously held the coveted appointments of ADG (Projects), Chennai and Chief Engineer, Delhi Zone, where he spearheaded the prestigious Thal Sena Bhawan Project.

IDSE Association extends best wishes to him for a successful tenure and is confident that his leadership will further strengthen personnel management and drive progressive cadre reforms in MES.

The Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE) Association strongly condemns the unfortunate incident of mishandling and assault of an Engineer on official duty in Himachal Pradesh.

On behalf of all IDSE officers across the country, we express deep concern over the growing incidents of threats and violence against engineers while performing their duties. Such actions not only demoralize hardworking professionals but also hamper the progress of national infrastructure development.

We stand in full solidarity with NHAI engineers in seeking justice for the affected officer and demand strict action against the culprits. It is imperative that adequate safety and protection be ensured for all engineers, especially those working in challenging field conditions. Jai Hind.
