what I love about this interview is the fact that Nadine has somehow earned the respect of the mediamen. they know her voice matters in political spectrum and there's genuine curiousity on how she would answer relevant national controversies.

I learned in 2019 that the Lamoiyan Corporation employs people with disabilities and provides college scholarships to deaf-mute people in addition to employing Filipinos and directly contributing to our national economy.
CASTRO: LET'S START WITH SARA'S CONFIDENTIAL FUNDS
Malacañang on Tuesday, March 18, responded to impeached Vice President Sara Duterte's claim that corruption is a more pressing issue than the Dutertes, agreeing that it should be addressed—starting with her own spending.
During an interview on ANC Headstart, Palace Press Officer and Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro acknowledged corruption as a serious concern but pointed to allegations involving the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) confidential funds.
"Yes, she said that the real problem of the government is with regard to the corruption. Yes, that is also one of the problems—corruption. And we can see based on the discoveries of the members of the House of Representatives, we can see allegedly fake or unsubstantiated receipts coming from the OVP regarding the confidential funds," Castro said.
She added that if Duterte is serious about tackling corruption, scrutiny should begin with her office’s expenditures.
"So, VP Sara is really correct that we should deal with the issues of corruption, and we will start with the confidential funds that she spent."

This was swift: The Philippine authorities have already surrendered former President Duterte to the ICC in The Hague to face trial for the alleged crimes against humanity of murder.
The man who said, ‘my job is to kill’ and who oversaw the shootings to death of victims – including children – as part of a deliberate, widespread and well-organized campaign of state-sanctioned killings
the man who once was all-powerful, so much so that he could openly threaten anyone who questioned his war on drugs;
This man is now on his way to the Hague and an ICC jail.
To all those in power now who think they are above the law - think twice, think carefully.
Time will come: you will not enjoy impunity forever, no matter how powerful you are now.
This isn't just a political issue, it’s a reflection of a broken system where voters prioritize entertainment and familiarity over qualifications. And until this cycle is broken, we’ll keep getting poor governance, corruption, and wasted opportunities for real progress.
