I'm using Happy Scribe to transcribe my audio and video files. It's quick, efficient and super easy to use. Give it a try, first 30 minutes are free: https://t.co/nK4ldp5WHA
@carwyn@GoldinLucrezia@ErikdeJ15269364 @Vincent_WDB @schneiderfa77 Thats a fair point, non-members cannot simply stumble onto the contents of WeChat groups. However the main problem is that people tend to get comfortable when they do something more often. Say they spew hate in such a group, whats to stop them from doing it IRL? #DigitalEastAsia
@brittblom Oh nice! I wasn't aware of that. After looking into it a bit more I found that fortunately the government is also mingling in the prevention/discussion. Cooperating with said NGO's! https://t.co/5g1x7bPNPL #DigitalEastAsia
@Luis54127549 I haven't personally, but I have noticed that for companies customer service has become a much bigger priority. I think a big part of this change is the increased ease and normality of posting complaints publicly online. Yay! #DigitalEastAsia
@VPrevoo@GoldinLucrezia @Vincent_WDB @schneiderfa77@LeidenHum Yes, they are all part of the same thing, a slippery slope. It's scary when critiquing government and mobilizing society can only be done by disclosing the core information that same governments needs to be able to silence you, and that is where we're going now. #DigitalEastAsia
Have you heard of the D&G scandal? Microblogging sites like weibo can be extremely powerful, to the extent of having an impact on an economic market!! https://t.co/R1dsH2UfCO #DigitalEastAsia
Here is an interesting article on what happens when goverments meddle with microblogging apps on political issues. #DigitalEastAsia

Yeah there has been a lot of backlash from users from this as well. Additionally, white supremacists aren't banned from the site which adds to the discontent of the users. https://t.co/RmYnjf4sUY … Some article with examples of what I mentioned. #DigitalEastAsia
I disagree. Privacy for "security" gives governments the power to abuse the access to things that were previously considered private. If you can't hide from the state then how can you criticize certain actions? This obviously works different in non-democracies. #DigitalEastAsia
Facebook also has this same policy. It can be circumvented, but there have been multiple instances of Facebook cracking down on so called "fake accounts". https://t.co/vtuzYhM1rA #DigitalEastAsia
That's true, but if these groups wouldn't exist in the first place, then they would pose less of a threat to society wouldn't you think? I do believe that these groupchats are particularly concerning. #DigitalEastAsia
@GoldinLucrezia This is particularly interesting. I wasn't aware that Weibo was losing activity. Did the users migrate to different platforms? #DigitalEastAsia
@brittblom I think Twitter and Line would be useful. It would be only for people with smarthphones/ aTwitter account, but it's something. However, it would be better to tackle the problem at the core: Better mental healthcare to fight depression/PTSD/etc. Thoughts? #DigitalEastAsia
@LeeYuanting This is definitely a pro, it will make transactions for Chinese tourists or otherwise Chinese visitors a lot easier especially with Japan rising as a popular tourist destination for them. Makes me wish we could use ING in Japan. #DigitalEastAsia
@jelle110@jelle110 Positive news indeed, but this doesn’t mean that all ‘minority’ groups are represented... additionally, I am very interested in their world wide policy: https://t.co/zMHTyY988o
That depends on the attitude of your boss towards your labour. I do believe digitisation does result in extended responsibility, which causes an overlap between leisure and labour. #DigitalEastAsia
@AsiaJoost@julie_molenaar I guess it works both ways. People go on their phones during work time and waste time scrolling through apps, while they respond to messages from work during their free time. #DigitalEastAsia
