@VPrevoo@GoldinLucrezia @Vincent_WDB @schneiderfa77@LeidenHum This is an important point. It think, giving up privacy in excange for security is not without limitations. This is why there is a need to emphasize the importance for privacy in order to prevent this kind of system to emerge.
@Luis54127549 This works amazingly well. You see it a lot on facebook when it concerns the Dutch train company NS. Their page gets flooded with complaints of i.e. delay, the messages get shared allover and most of the time the complainers get their money back.
On a positive note, both the PRC as well as foreign critics (especially via the NASDAQ) critique Weibo for censoring gay related blogs. What is the influence of a foreign entity like a stock market on the censorship system in China? #DigitalEastAsia https://t.co/I4Dq1kZQYg
@Luis54127549 I am also greatly doubting the possible success of Weibo in Europe. Not only privacy issues would count, also the fact that Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc. are all so widespread and popular, it would be difficult to find a niche.
@Luis54127549 Interesting article! I think it would work for Facebook in case there was one guideline to which the contentcheckers could check the articles. Otherwise, I think a lot of people would be interested!
