@thekoreanvegan He really needs to search up what cultural appropriation is and stop using it so loosely, it’s gonna take impact away from the term. Like how is simply making Italian food similar at all to cultural appropriation...
the final #verdict
2nd degree unintentional murder

3rd degree murder
guilty
2nd degree manslaughter

this is just the beginning, but a groundbreaking victory

#AhmaudArbery was jogging in a neighborhood in Georgia when father and son, Gregory and Travis McMichael, and William Bryan armed themselves and chased him down in a truck. He was killed with three close-range shots. Those three have just now been indicted for a hate crime.
Check out @ e_on_channel3 and @ haileyych’s video, definitely changed my perspective on the asian hate crime bill. Crazy how many people(like me) got deceived by the name and didn’t look into the details. #TikTok https://t.co/6qDk8gKCOg
Shane Nguyen’s murder is truly horrific. Those who knew him say that “if people came up to him and said I need your help, he would never say no. And he would help them with his whole heart”. He helped Matthew Cramer and in return was killed and dismembered https://t.co/p66I9Y196I
“I would not call today’s work justice however, because justice implies true restoration. But it is accountability which is the first step towards justice. And now the cause of justice is in your hands.” - Keith Ellison, Minnesota attorney general
#JusticeForGeorgeFloyd
As we’re celebrating the verdict, remember that the fight isn’t over. George Floyd and many others would not need justice if we just fix the root of the problem: the system. We need police reform now, let’s not add more names to the list.
#BlackLivesMatter#DefundThePolice
While we wait for the #ChauvinTrial verdict, let’s consider how fucked up our system is that an officer being held accountable for their actions is something worth celebrating. Accountability should be a given, not some rare victory. #PoliceReformNow#DefundThePolice
@Capsizing__ @diamEvans I agree that ultimately it’s the verdict that matters but how can you be so sure it’ll be not guilty. Most medical experts said that Chauvin’s actions were the primary cause of death, not the fentanyl in Floyd’s system. Not sure why you keep insisting on bringing up his drug use
“You can believe your eyes that it’s a homicide” - Jerry Blackwell, prosecuting attorney on the video featuring the 9 minute and 29 seconds Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd’s neck. The only reasonable verdict should be #GUILTY#DerekChauvinTrial
@Capsizing__ @diamEvans I think you’re missing the point. The issue isn’t whether his knee was on his neck or shoulder, but rather how placing his weight onto Floyd restricted air flow and resulted in his death. The trial is to convict Chauvin of murdering Floyd, not determining where he placed his knee
@Capsizing__ Yes because that’s according to medical experts. Reread the article you linked, it said that Nelson(defense attorney not a medical expert) was suggesting it was on the shoulder and not on the neck.
@Capsizing__ @diamEvans Was this the medical doctor you’re talking about? He’s one of the only experts who said George Floyd’s death was likely caused by drug use and his heart condition. I suggest you go rewatch the testimony’s of other experts too before calling us ignorant. https://t.co/uCcn3S8QWV
@Capsizing__ The medical examiner literally said that drug use and heart disease contributed but it was compression of his neck and restraint of his body that were the primary causes https://t.co/4vfeqIfRom
