@lyrasie Wouldn’t such a regime be merely a transitional period before balkanization? I can’t imagine the US maintaining continent-wide social cohesion with all the contradictions, ecological degradation and none of the support from that most essential pillar to its political economy
I think Lee Kuan Yew had it correct that America's foundation as the Wild West has made such things as violence deeply imbedded in their national ethos, and it would not be a comfortable thing to reckon with
