@ChristianK7, @asil_cetin, @VisTorsten, and @miriah_meyer discuss further CVO workshop considerations in their work "Extending Recommendations for Creative Visualization-Opportunities Workshops" (11/11)

In contrast to this rather societal / policy-related stance, Digital Humanities is an academic field where computational tools & methods are applied to traditional humanities disciplines & data, often to uncover new insights, accelerate research process & increase dissemination.
Recently I've been in multiple meetings where the relation between the terms "Digital Humanities" and "Digital Humanism", especially regarding the recent @WWTF call https://t.co/Od9ROicy4s, has been discussed. Obviously, the similarity in their naming causes some confusion.
Imho, it makes it easier to think of "Digital Humanism" as "Humanist Digitalism" (which would've actually been a more precise but less sexy title), where human-centered values (privacy, freedom of speech, human rights, participation etc.) are the core principles for digitization.
By comparing lexical usage in political discourse across diachronic corpora the #godigital DYLEN project team shows in the paper that discourse is more similar when the parties are in coalition. More info ➡️https://t.co/55MKo5Gxke #dylennetworks#ParlaCLARIN@ACDH_OeAW
this is wild. why do photogrammetry when you can optimize for a 5D neural radiance field? this isn't a 3D model of a car: it's a series of renders from a fully connected (non-convolutional) network. the scene is stored in the weights of the network. https://t.co/2Mv148IuzM

I rebuilt the popular model, adding interpolation and upscale frames. Detailed DoomGuy with Remini and StyleGan2 (from my build).

Congratulations to Asil @asil_cetin who finished his master in computer science with a thesis on "Multi-Faceted Visual Data Analysis for Corpus Research".
We've facilitated this workshop together w/ C.Knoll and R.Sahann from @univienna_vda and A.Marakasova from @tuvienna following the CVO methodology (https://t.co/8fQ7GPZgOu) with very promising results. Looking forward to the next stages of design & development in #DYLEN project.
At yesterdays #dylennetworks visualisation workshop researchers from different disciplines came together to collaboratively work on #dh projects.
