today is my grandmother's 85th #birthday, and i just had to join the antique car parade my family organized for her! thanks to my boss and the folks from the downshifters club who braved the threat of rain to bring her some of that car show joy.

as a performance artist, my work involves public & private events with crowds ranging from dozens to thousands of people. i'm often in direct contact with people. most of my public gigs involve accepting cash tips. the bulk of my gigs are in the summer.

most importantly, i want to be out there connecting with people through my art. other artists are sharing their talents virtually, but so much of living statuary is about silent interaction. i'm trying to find ways to stay active via the internet but it's definitely challenging.

how does a performance artist dress up for halloween? i have a closet full of costumes to choose from, but today i wanted to do something different, so i dressed up as one of my favorite performers - @TapeFaceBoy! special appearance by my dog, shorty.

as a performer, the #pandemic has changed my plans for the foreseeable future. a lot of plans have changed for a lot of us. grateful that i can work my other job, & my husband can work , & we are healthy. i hope you are getting through this okay. can't wait to see you all again.
