What do all these things have in common?
None of them happen over night.
This work HAS to become part of a more long-term plan to be a success.
Yes, it takes time.
But yes, it's worth it.
Workplace wellbeing is not a 'perk'.
Workplace wellbeing is not a 'good-to-have'.
Workplace wellbeing is a strategic function.
Workplace wellbeing is a must-have.
→ Build a culture that's built on connections between colleagues (especially if you're remote)
→ Make sure your teams have access to mental health and wellbeing support during work hours
If you could relive a moment in time, what would it be?
I'd genuinely go back to 17 years old and start my first ever business again 💙
When everything was still a novelty and I approached everything with no fear
Would you do it all again?
I'd genuinely go back to 17 years old and start my first ever business again 💙
When everything was still a novelty
When I approached everything with no fear
When I first had the feeling of real independence
We all have an individual journey that none of us see on social media
→ You've know your sh*t. You're not a fraud
→ These people want you to succeed
→ You have value to give
You can prepare and sometimes over prepare but the reality is you will only get better by doing.
I try to remind myself this every single time
Number one fear people have?
Worse than heights, snakes and even death?
Public speaking!
I’ve always struggled with public speaking
Every time I’ve been asked to speak in front of an audience, I’ve felt a rush of immediate stress, layered with underlying anxiety.
Followed by nerves and mini panic, trying to gasp for air whist I’m delivering the talk
So, yes not fun!
But every hard thing only gets less hard by doing!
So here is what I do to reframe my mind
I never want to stop growing, which means I should never stop feeling those growing pains. Mindset really is everything.
Onwards and upwards, regardless of the growing pains!
I've often wondered if I'm doing the right thing. Hello, Imposter Syndrome! But the fact that I never feel like I have all the answers means I'm still growing—and that's great news!
Being told no is sometimes the best thing that can ever happen to you.
When a door closes, another one opens, and it's usually a better than the first.
Rejection doesn't have to define you. But it can be the making of you 💙
I've had more interviews than I've had jobs
I've failed more in business than succeeded
I've had more dates than had partners
NO is really hard to hear
Kills our motivation, breaks our spirit
I've been told NO so many more times than YES
