I have to commend what the @GhanainUK social media team is doing.

Their platform is one of the best examples of how an African embassy in the UK can use social media to inform, engage, and connect with its citizens.

Unfortunately, the @Nigerialondon social media presence has been very quiet.

An embassy’s social media handle should provide regular updates on activities, events, important information, and services just as the Ghanaian Embassy is doing.

I genuinely hope we start seeing positive changes from the Nigerian Embassy in the coming days.

The Commonwealth Games are taking place, and we are yet to see a single update from our embassy. This is disappointing and needs urgent attention.

Our citizens deserve better communication and engagement.
