📍 EASTERN REGION – We've moved through Busia and Mbale, reaching more young learners with hands-on digital skills for the future of work, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

🎓 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT – Meet Katami Loyce, a Primary 6 student from Bumageni Army Primary School in Mbale. After just one session with IgniteAI, she can now tell what is AI and what is not AI. That's the power of exposure.

We are reaching 20 schools across 5 districts in Eastern Uganda – Mayuge, Busia, Mbale, Ngora, and Kapchorwa – equipping young learners, especially girls and students with special needs, with hands-on AI skills.

📍 CENTRAL COMPLETE. EASTERN AWAITS. THE CARAVAN MOVES ON.

The dust is settling on a remarkable chapter of our #IgniteAISkills journey. Over the past days, in partnership with @UNDPUganda, @OticFoundation and @RefactoryAcademy, our caravan has woven through five districts of Buganda, leaving a trail of ignited minds in its wake.

We've witnessed, firsthand, what access and exposure can do and now we're carrying that torch east.

📍 Mityana: The spark was lit at St. Elizabeth Girls' SS, where learners saw AI up close for the first time. From there we crossed town to St. Kizito Banda SS, where more students got ignited with AI. Our caravan looped back through Mityana one more time, closing the district out at Namungo Seed SS and Mityana SS.

📍 Kayunga: Four schools in one district. Namagabi SS opened the adventure with three hours of hands-on AI training. Kitatya Seed SS followed, then St. Kalemba Seed SS brought the tour to full gear, and Busaana SS closed the chapter on Kayunga.

📍 Sembabule: We then pushed on to Lwebitakuli Seed SS, then Sembabule COU SS, then Kawanda Seed SS, then Mateete Comprehensive SS four schools again in one district, one unbroken thread of curious young minds sparked for the AI future.

📍 Kalangala: We crossed Lake Victoria to Sserwanga Lwanga Memorial SS, and with that, the Central Region tour was officially, completely done.
Five districts. Fourteen schools. Hundreds of learners across Buganda who can now say they’ve gotten real hands-on learning with AI. Thank you to every student, teacher, and community in Mityana, Kayunga, Sembabule, and Kalangala for welcoming us.
But this is not the end. We’re off to the east!

🚌 EASTERN REGION, HERE WE COME.

Our caravan is now pointed east, and our first stop is Mayuge District, Bufulubi SS, then Waitambogwe SS. We're eager to bring the same energy to the young innovators of Busoga and beyond.

No student left behind. No community skipped. School by school. Day by day. The journey continues.
