Chennai Corporation, Tangedco negligence kills a 59-year-old woman, daughter demands justice.

Jurisdictional officials of Chennai Corporation and Tangedco both have gone Scot free, despite the executive wing of @chennaicorp, coming under @CMOTamilnadu’s MAWS department.

The 59-year-old woman fell into a SWD pit and was electrocuted. But why were the pits open for so long? The project work order was issued last Sept and work began in Jan. Since then, @timesofindia flagged the precarious condition of the road three times, with a recent report last week. Yet, the pits nor the EB wires were closed or plugged.

Yesterday, the stretch remained the same with protruding sharp roads, EB wires running inside and outside the water laden pits.
