@antonposa@alicciardello87 I think he was solid considering it’s his first game after a hamstring injury, but there’s a difference between that performance and a round 15 buy (in my opinion)!
Jets have cooled on David Fifita’s return from injury after last night. Despite playing 80 minutes, he managed only 42pts in base+power. When thinking about run home 2RF assets, I’ll need to see an improved work rate before investing. Reevaluate before Round 17 when he won’t miss another game for the season!

@alicciardello87 Sure it’s not bad, and I’m not saying he’s an avoid - but just going to wait and see how he progresses, not buy next week for round 15 coverage
🔐 LOCKOUT LOCK-IN 🔐
Compared to rounds of late, does this week feel like less of a headache? Sides are looking solid across the board, but it doesn’t mean it’s smooth sailing ahead. With lockout around the corner, it’s time to lock in ⤵️
🧢 Captain’s Call: After a few rounds of some average captaincy scores, I’m strongly considering popping the safety vest on and captaining Terrell May. I know what I’m getting, and it’s a warm blanket tucking me in at night. If I felt like a risk (and by Saturday 7:30pm I may) then Walsh’s average skyrockets when Mam is out - could be in for a massive bounce back. Cleary, Teddy, Herbie are obviously always safe options too.
⛑️ Twal Downfall: Probably the hottest topic of the week, and yes, I’m in camp “sell” with news that he’ll miss 4-6 weeks. Twal has never been a high PPM player, and his relevance has only risen due to a big increase in minutes. My big concern is if coaches do wait for over a month, he could return to a reduced minute role and kill his average. When you can get to TMay for the same price, it’s honestly a no brainer.
📈 Bye or Die: Bye planning is a genuine pain in the ass, and when you finally get to the bye, Herbie probably pulls out with hamstring tightness anyway. I’m only bringing in players that I want in my final team, regardless of their short term appeal. I’ve mentioned Tigers & Sharks a lot in the past fortnight, but TMay/KPP/Iro are high on that list. Don’t waste trades on players that will end up becoming headaches in a month.
💪 Endgame Assets: There’s plenty of talk about trading gun fullbacks & halfbacks, but at some point, we’ll have to make a call and hold some premium guns that we want for the run home. Cleary, Teddy, Ponga, Hynes are prime examples with poor bye coverage/injury/Origin affecting their appeal. Most teams would have 16-22 trades left, and it just isn’t possible to trade them all out with a view to buy them back. Especially in 2026 with players going down like flies.

Ben Trbojevic hasn’t been able to lift his left shoulder for the last two rounds, directly leading to tries through his channel.
Already a try & line break through him in the first 20mins here. Genuinely what is he still doing on the field?

@Riskophilexoyr We’re a SuperCoach page so we’ll reference him averaging 70 points per game, but his combination with Brooks has been decent. Wouldn’t be commanding much coin either.

@SC_Prophet_NRL Absolute daggers. Fortunately there will be plenty in the same boat with Walsh/Twal at least. Good planning will help, what trades are you making this week?
TIGERS MEDICAL UPDATE
The Tigers have confirmed the following return to play timeframes.
- Taylan May and Adam Doueihi set to return in 2-3 weeks.
- Alex Twal will miss 4-6 weeks with an MCL injury
- Samuela Fainu will remain on the sidelines for 6-7 weeks with a foot injury.
🐏 HERD MENTALITY 🐏
We break down the biggest ownership risers and fallers from the round, and decide whether the moves were smart, sideways, or complete panic trades. Here’s this week’s edition ⤵️
🐯 Terrell May (+8%) is the trade of the round to set up your run home. Only missing one more game this season, he’s a guaranteed 80+ score with captaincy appeal. Only counter argument for H2H players would be his round 23 bye falls in a SuperCoach finals match, but you might not make finals without him.
🐯 Alex Twal (-6%) is making way for TMay, and I can understand the trade. There’s every likelihood Twal plays reduced minutes upon return, and his minutes are what made him attractive in the first place. We’ve got no clarity on his return date yet, so I’d be moving him to TMay if you haven’t already.
🐶 Jacob Kiraz (+4%) was a good buy a fortnight ago, but I’m cooling on the purchase this round with his poor bye coverage. Throw in some Origin speculation and there’s now uncertainty with the amount of time he’ll spend on the field at club level. This buy is very dependant on your bye round numbers.
🐴 Payne Haas (+3%) is obviously a run home must have, but he’ll only play 2 of the next 6 rounds assuming he walks straight back into the NSW side. When options like TMay or Tapine are available, you can’t blow a trade this early on him.
🐰 Latrell Siegwalt (+2%) is bottom dollar, has great round 15 bye coverage, and will have the spot for at least 2-3 more weeks. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end, with absolutely no certainty to his role after that. He’s a great option to free up cash this week, but that’s about it.

👀Waiver Perv👀
We’ve had a stalk of the lowly owned players on waivers, with a particular focus on mini bye coverage. Check out what the Perv has picked out.
- Billy Smith (27.1%) is back, getting through his work, and covers the next 2 mini byes. While the Roosters have hit the skids, I still want their assets in my draft sides. 50 in base last week, that’s a floor you can rely on over a tough period.
- Jeral Skelton, the man who just had 43pts in runs alone, is only 11.4% owned in draft leagues. Simply too low for a player with the tackle busting and try scoring ability he has. Mini bye coverage is elite. He is simply far too lowly owned.
- Cameron McInnes (20.9%) is not a sexy pick, just look at that missing tooth! He did however base+power his way to 79pts last week. He will tackle his nuts off, and puts his head where you wouldn’t put your foot. A rock solid player to bolster your back row.
