I am hoping that one day a Government will be in power with the drive, ambition and most importantly the URGENCY to tackle domestic abuse as it should be.
Perpetrators must be held to account and shift the focus from the victim (why didn’t she just leave, or why didn’t she protect her children) to the perpetrator, those who continue to abuse within the relationship and post separation.
We can only hope because that is all we have 🙏
