@ThePromiseCFC What she said doesn’t dismiss this point; the teacher was wrong and must be dealt with.
However, what’s the way forward? Parents must play their role and the children must be responsible. That’s it.
A teacher must never have any sexual relationship with a student irrespective of
I didn’t think there would be a time where a Man would give such brilliant and Valid takes on predatory relationships between Students and Teachers and the lady would rather be giving the most absurd, honestly insane and ignorant takes!
I’ve always like Scanty, but now my respect for him has skyrocketed!
Thank you Scanty for being the voice of reasoning! You would look for water and be served expensive Champagne! 🍾
Minor Dey receive long teds
See how she was enjoying
She even removed the dross for the teacher to participate in the lesson.
Minor Dey give warning say make we all we hide our husbands and boyfriends
Minor is allowed to say this ong. Y3yale Yale
Even though the teacher was very wrong for playing that game with a student, we should let the student know she was also wrong.
People are trying to hard to miss the point here...
If you leave your house gate open and it's invaded by robbers, should we say you deserved to be robbed?
As much as you were not wise to lock up, you didn't deserve to be robbed!
Does that make sense?
Under the criminal offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) as amended (including by Act 554 in 1998), Section 101 defines defilement as the carnal knowledge (natural or unnatural) of a child under 16 years of age, whether with or without the child’s consent. So yes the student can be blamed.
a minor will still be a minor! Their way of decision-making is not the same as an adult.
it’s only in Ghana that you can sit in front of the camera and be making these comments and think you are making sense.
@laurayrayy Under the criminal offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) as amended (including by Act 554 in 1998), Section 101 defines defilement as the carnal knowledge (natural or unnatural) of a child under 16 years of age, whether with or without the child’s consent.
Make of it what you will.
@ChristDeKing The law allows kids at age 16 to have sex. So who then is a minor?
It’s simply wrong for a teacher to have a sexual relationship with a student, irrespective of the level. That’s the point.
If an adult male engages in any sexual behavior with a girl at 16, there’s nothing wrong
@lydiaforson That said, it’s a no, for a teacher to have a sexual relationship with a student, no matter the level of education, as a teacher occupies a position of authority.
We have a long way to go as a society.
@lydiaforson We live in a country that allows kids, age sixteen the right to have sex.
At age sixteen, they’re definitely still in school.
I think this is where the problem starts, you don’t grant kids at that age the right to have sex and turn around a call them minors.
It’s alarming how quickly people blame a child when an adult is involved.
A minor is anyone below the legal age of adulthood. Society classifies minors separately because they are still developing and therefore require protection, guidance, and safeguarding.
An adult has the responsibility. An adult has the power. An adult knows the consequences.
So when your first instinct is to ask what the child did wrong, you’ve completely missed why child protection exists in the first place.
Instead of asking why the child didn’t know better, we should be asking why the adult did what they did despite knowing better.
@acca_ish There are so many empty heads here spewing nonsense and at some point, it must end.
Eri didn’t dismiss what the teacher did oo, listen and come back.
In Ghana, once a girl attains the age of 16, she can decide to have sex with whoever she desires.
She equally responsible.
