You could have said the same about the steam engine!

In 20 years time, your children will look at people we feared ai in the same way you’d look at someone who fears electricity. New technology is always met with recurring motives; protecting income, preserving professional status, resisting a transfer of control, and managing personal risk.

Only those who refuse to adapt have anything to fear. Moaning about spending 10 years to learn something a machine can learn in 10 seconds does not make you any more relevant.

@skumWgmi I did exactly the same. Built a consulting company from scratch to 250 staff, 60% gross margin, sold it to PE and kept 15%.

They hired a bloated management team, put big company structure and processes into a dynamic, agile company, wasted millions and now it’s basically dead.
