The government assured Sonam Wangchuk (@SonamVangchuk) that no cases would be filed against those who protested peacefully or participated in the July 20 march.
Union Ministers JP Nadda (@JPNadda) and Dr. Jitendra Singh (@DrJitendraSingh) personally met Sonam Wangchuk and requested him to end his hunger strike. After receiving the government's assurances, he broke his fast.
The government also promised a discussion on the issue in Parliament and appropriate compensation for the families of NEET aspirants who died by suicide.
After ending his fast, Sonam Wangchuk thanked the government and appealed to the Opposition to raise the issue constructively in Parliament. He also strongly condemned the violence and criticized anti-social elements for hijacking the protest.
@mbjena2@EnergyOdisha@TPCentralOdisha@CollectorJspur@KVSinghDeo1@OfficialTeamATA Sever gaps in #TPCODL customer support as Rahama section Incharge is informing us that he is not receiving these complaints in his system.
If the complaints are not reaching to the concerned section office, then it is unclear how they are being closed prematurely without action.
