This was deeply troubling to the domineering powers that had coveted the wealth of this land and, for years, had committed all kinds of wrongdoing against its people in an effort to seize it for themselves.

Therefore, from that point onward, they devoted all their efforts to reversing the course of the powerful river of the revolutionary nation and returning it to its previous direction. The First Imposed War was their most significant action during the first decade of the blessed life of the Islamic Republic.”
