Communication, content, commitment and courage are not one and the same. But unfortunately, communication seems to dominate and not many are capable of seeing it as a cover up..
@malpani Social media has made every ullu to feel that he knows everything of everything. When a guy like this gets audience, its a reflection on society.
@malpani The academic processes and expected output do not incentivise learning from the first principle. For most, the only expected benefit is earning not enlightenment and the process is memorising 'how' rather than 'what' and 'why'.
India risks long-term dependence as curiosity-driven science is on the decline. Real innovation stems from deep theoretical understanding, not just short-term deliverables.

@devinamehra You nailed it. There is nothing like absolute merit. A person is a product of his biology and circumstances within and outside her/ his family over which s/he had little control at least in the years which matter most in deciding life's trajectory.
